"My Critical Path & Critical Illness Overview (with case study)"
Mark Halpern, CFP, has been an independent insurance advisor since 1991, based in north Toronto.
If you live in the GTA, you've probably heard him on 680 News, The Fan 590, 98.1 CHFI, CFRB 1010 and 640AM with celebrity clients Gord Stellick, Erin Davis and Charles Adler, educating the public about critical illness insurance.
Mark utilizes multimedia, direct-to-consumer marketing to get his message out in a big way. His website illnessPROTECTION.com educates consumers and his radio advertising campaign has now been rolled out across the country starting with a successful launch in Calgary this past February.
Mark "crash tests" the lives of his busy and successful clients. By focusing in the largely untapped area of critical illness insurance and other living benefits he is able to sell a lot of life insurance.
Mark was recognized in 2005 and 2006 by Manulife Financial as their #1 living benefits advisor and their top producer for combined life and living benefits in the independent advisor channel across Canada in 2006.
Last year, Mark spoke at the Top of the Meetings in Palm Springs, CALU, The World Critical Illness Conference and other industry conferences and corporate functions.
Mark is a member of the Toronto Estate Planning Council, Advocis, CALU, MDRT and the Top of the Table.
Mark lives in Thornhill, Ontario and has been married to his wife Rhonda for the past 11 years. They are kept busy with their 5 children, 11 years of age and under.
